My Top Concerts of 2024

As 2024 comes to an end with only a couple of months left, let me tell you about my top concerts of this year, as an avid Vancouver concertgoer!

Justin Timberlake: The Forget Tomorrow World Tour

Starting off strong, on April 29th of this year, the NSYNC superstar, Justin Timberlake, began his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Vancouver at Rogers Arena. The tour was in support of his sixth studio album Everything I Thought It Was. This concert was full of energy and a Y2K vibe with lots of great dancing. Timberlake performed some of his older material as well, such as “Cry Me a River”, “SexyBack”, and my personal favourite “LoveStoned”.

21 Savage: The American Dream Tour

A few days later, on May 1st, 21 Savage opened his American Dream Tour in Vancouver where he took the stage at Rogers Arena with JID and 21 Lil Harold. american dream, the third studio album by rapper 21, was one of my favourite albums that came out this year, so it only made sense to buy a last-minute ticket to attend this concert. I was lucky and found a ticket for only $140 for a pretty good seat in the lower bowl, section 114, row 17, seat 101 to be exact :). As someone who works in the event industry, I have been fortunate enough to have seen a few rap concerts where I have worked, but this was the first rap concert where I actually bought a ticket and attended as a guest. I had an absolute blast although he came on over an hour late… I got to hear some of my favourite songs from the album such as “redrum” and my favourite “all of me”. However, the highlight of the night was when 21 Savage and JID came out to perform “Surround Sound” together, one of my all-time favourite rap songs.

Avril Lavigne: Greatest Hits Tour

May was a crazy month for me, and any other Vancouver concertgoers! Not long after the 21 Savage concert, Avril Lavigne opened her Greatest Hits Tour in Vancouver on May 22nd at Rogers Arena. This concert has to have been one of my favourite ones to date. This was the first and only time I had ever been in the pit and let me tell you it was insane to be standing 10 feet from the Canadian superstar herself. The outfits, the crowd, and just everything about this concert made you feel like you were at a Y2K rave! I got to hear some childhood classics live such as “Complicated”, “Girlfriend”, and of course the iconic “Sk8ter Boi”. Definitely a blast from the past for sure!

2024 is not over yet and there are still lots of exciting tours coming to Vancouver over the next few months. Click here for more details 😀 I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store, hopefully, some new great albums and lots and lots of concerts!
