We’ve heard of a Wizard, but have you heard of a Lizard Wizard? If not, allow me to introduce you to “King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard”, a rock band formed in 2010 from Melbourne, Victoria. They will be performing live in Vancouver, B.C. in the Pacific Coliseum on September 12. After doing some research I found out that this band has 26 studio albums which is absolutely insane! They work very hard to give their fans great music. However, 26 studio albums makes me question how good this music actually is. I guess I may have to visit this concert to find out. Another crazy fact is that in 2017 this band made and released five albums which I believe is a bit excessive but if that’s their passion, more power to them. Some album titles that really caught my eye were: “I’m in Your Mind Fuzz” , “Paper Mâché Dream Balloon” , “Murder of the Universe” & “Infest the Rats’ Nest”.

You know what’s sweet? Sweet Loretta will be coming to Vancouver with Kishi Bashi. They will be performing live in The Pearl, playing their diverse catalog of songs and interacting with fans. Sweet Loretta are a band of 5 however, Kishi Bashi is a solo artist who started his solo career in 2011. Since then I believe he’s been dominating the scene. Kishi Bashi also got recognition by Bob Boilson in 2012 where he was crowned, Favorite New Artist. Additionally, his songs were featured in television advertisements which was great for his image and definitely put his name out there in the public. Some noteworthy songs of his that I suggest checking out are: “Manchester”, “In Fantasia”, “Violin Tsunami”, and “A Song For You”. Kishi Bashi definitely worked hard through out his years to brand himself and make a name for himself, now he’s touring the nation with his passion!

“Two tickets to the Two Door Cinema Club”! “What’s that”? You may ask? Well, it’s a Rock band that’s coming to Vancouver B.C. They will be headlining the Orpheum Theatre on Friday September 13. The last time this band came to Vancouver was 7 years ago so you may want to jump up and take the opportunity to meet these guys. Their music catalog is pretty interesting, consisting of 9 albums and a plethora of EP’s. The sounds of these albums are very different from one another and casual listeners like me can definitely find something to enjoy from them. The band consists of 3 members and their style is incredibly unique. Just take a look at their album art cover:
