The Beauty and the Challenge
There are 3 routes the participants can choose to their liking of the intensity and length of the trail and there will be an area specialist for every trail to help guide the hikers. Each of these trails has magnificent scenery and the true beauty of nature every step of the way.
1. Huckleberry Hill: Perfect for beginners at hiking starting from 9 am
2. Big Rock or Lower Teepee Lake Loop: An intermediate level of hiking starting at 7 am
3. Terry Fox Summit: The hardest of them all, taking around 11 hours, suggested only for professional and well-experienced hikers, also starting from 7 am.
A tribute to the Canadian Hero
In 1980, Terry Fox began the Marathon of Hope, a nationwide run to raise money for cancer research. He ran with an artificial leg after losing the other to cancer. That is why, for many participants, the Mount Terry Fox Trek holds deep personal significance. It serves as a meaningful space to contemplate the challenges faced by themselves or their loved ones in battling cancer, with each step symbolizing resilience and hope. This event creates a connection with individuals with similar experiences, all amidst Canada's serene breathtaking landscape.
