The Pinnacle of Spooky Season. Halloween Is Upon Us! Part 2

With Halloween close by, the Vancouver area is busy having a multitude of different events. Ranging from mazes, haunted house, shows and even parties and raves. The spooky season is the perfect time to go out and have fun and celebrate your scary side.

October 28th got some really fun clubbing activities going on if you really want some fun times. At Twelve West we got Fright Night, the Forbidden Forest at Celebrities Nightclub, a costume party at The Basement in Hotel Belmont and The Haunted Hoedown at The Yale Saloon just to name a few. All these places packed with an exciting, fun, Halloween themed time.

But, if clubbing and parties ain’t really your thing there are still some more events you could go to. Some events mentioned here are still running events on the 28th and 29th so you could still go to those. Events include mazes, haunted houses and the PNE Fright Night. Some other events to note on the 28th are  Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors in Surrey, a more tame haunted attraction, Barclay Manor Haunted House, and a nice Spooktacular Halloween at Britannia Mine Museum.

On the 29th a most of the events are still carrying over, so if you missed them or not able to go on those days, most of the non-club events are still going on. But, there are some cool events just for the Sunday. There is the Maritime BOO-seum, which is, of course, Halloween themed, with a scavenger hunt. A costume is highly recommended. Halloweekend on the River at Fraser River Discovery Centre is happening. And, if you  miss the pumpkin patch activities there are places like, Petey’s Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Days at VanDusen Botanical Garden that are holding events on the 29th.

However, if non of these events are your tastes, or can’t make it to any of them, remember you can always have your own events to embrace the spooky season. Whether you have a costume party or just hanging out with friends, all that matters is that you have a good time. And if you do plan to go to any of these event, please remember to keep yourself safe. Take extra precaution when going out and it is also the sick season, so taking extra health precautions should probably be the move. So, let’s hope you don’t get tricked this weekend, and instead treat yourself to a fun weekend.
