Let’s talk about Neela, the rising star of Vancouver’s music scene!

Neela’s been out and about in the music scene since she was young. She used to perform at local talent shows and festivals in Vancouver. She had fun but didn’t get too much traction until she took a new approach. She started posting covers and original songs on YouTube and gaining a following. She finally hit it big when her covers of “Hello” by Adele and “Stay” by Rihanna popped off. She gained thousands of views and started to build a dedicated following.
In 2018, Neela released her debut EP, “Lovers in Danger,” which showcased her unique sound and earned her critical acclaim. Since then, Neela has been working on new music and performing live shows in Vancouver and beyond. Her live performances are energetic and engaging. Her single “You’ll Never Know” is by far my favorite. The song delves into the trauma of domestic abuse and the importance of healing. The song is raw, emotional, but incredibly liberating. Her song has gained lots of attention and was featured Rolling Stones India and ETalk Canada. Neela traveled to India for filming and the results were incredible. She collaborated with powerful Indian Indigenous elders from her ancestry and used imagery from her culture to enhance her song.
