To start off the main card at 7 pm Marc-Andre “Power Bar” Barriault and Eryk Anders face off in a middleweight bout. The Canadian Barriault possesses sickening power in his hands and is probably going to look to shut the lights out for the American, Eryk Anders. Anders himself has some really good striking, so this fight looks to be a stand-up battle from beginning to end. Both fighters are coming off a TKO (technical knock-out) victory and are looking for a statement victory to rise their name in the rankings. Looking at this fight, it has fight of the night potential all over it.

After that fight Dan “50K” Ige goes against Nate “The Train” Landwehr in a lightweight fight. Nate Landwehr is currently on a 3 fight winning streak as is looking to continue it against Ige. Both fighters are very well rounded, but Dan Ige does have the advantage in the grappling side of the fight. I think at the end of the day this fight probably won’t be exciting as the last fight but still seems like a must watch. I think I see Dan “50K” Ige winning.

Next, the Canadian Mike “Proper” Malott will fight Adam Fugitt in the welterweight division. Adam Fugitt has some nice striking but has looked kind of shaky in the UFC going 1-1 in the promotion. Mike Malott however, is riding a 5 fight win streak and is 2-0 in the UFC. Malott is a surging prospect and is looking to get past Fugitt and make a name for himself in front of the Canadian crowd. I got Malott winning by a convincing decision.

Next we have a very exciting co-main event. #1 ranked lightweight Charles “do Bronx” Olivera will face #4 ranked Beneil Dariush. Many people already know about one of the lightweight greats, Charles “do Bronx”, but he is coming off a tough loss, so we will see how he comes back. I will focus more on Beneil Dariush. Unluckily for Dariush, he is kind of the forgotten one in the lightweight division. Personally I think he is the dark horse of the division. He has the skill set to pose a difficult problem for the lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Dariush has a weird tricky style, that is very well rounded. Expect this fight to be pretty difficult for both fighters. This fight will be considered the people’s main event.

Last, but certainly not least, the women’s bantamweight champion Amanda “Lioness” Nunes will face Mexico’s Irene Aldana. Amanda is the dominant double weight champion so many people already know how she is as a fighter. Irene Aldana however is kind of an unknown to the majority of fans. She is looking to bring another belt to Mexico, but it is a difficult task considering she is facing the woman’s greatest of all time. Goodluck to Irene Aldana but I think Amanda Nunes will notch another defense for her belt.

This card may not look very star packed but, personally I think there are many underrated fights on this card. This card is still about a month away, so get some knowledge on these fighters and get ready for an exciting Vancouver fight card!
