What is there to do this weekend in Vancouver for sports?

Well, there is a highly anticipated event with the National Lacrosse League for the Vancouver Warriors today Saturday, April 29th.

The Vancouver Warriors will be playing the New York Riptide tonight at Rogers Arena – 800 Griffiths Way, Vancouver – at 7:00 pm. It will be their final game for this season and they want to end it with their best performance. If you’re into lacrosse, make sure you don’t miss out on tonight’s game.

The team rebranded and relocated after being sold to Canucks Sports & Entertainment and they’ve been playing for Vancouver in the National Lacrosse League since September 2018.

The Warriors are currently doing their morning practice inside Rogers Arena. I looked on their social media platforms and they updated a few tweets this morning on their twitter account and you can see the players warming up in practice.

They will also be holding a Fan Appreciation Night where there are lots of perks and prizes for fans to take home. There will be a presentation of the annual team awards which were voted by fans this season. The top scorer player will also be receiving an award for their great performance. Who do you think it’s going to be? Do you have any favourite players that you are cheering for? Nonetheless, it will be a very exciting evening for both the players and the fans.

Starting with the beers at a low price of $5.99, they will also be treating the first one thousand people that arrive to the venue with a choice of a free hotdog, popcorn or soft drink. That’s something to look forward to if you plan to arrive early to the game tonight. Who doesn’t like free stuff? Throughout the game there will be other mini gifts like BN3TH underwear and Haribo Goldbears gummies, so make sure you keep an eye out for them.
