Linkin Park celebrates the 20th anniversary of the album Meteora

On March 25, 2003, Linkin Park released their second studio album, titled “Meteora,” which went on to sell over 27 million copies across the globe. The album combines elements of nu-metal and rap rock and has the band’s characteristic sound, including Chester Bennington’s commanding vocals over pounding guitars and electronic rhythms.

Singles from the album, including “Somewhere I Belong,” “Breaking the Habit,” and “Numb,” were all huge hits. Other notable tunes on “Meteora” include “Faint,” “From the Inside,” and “Lying from You,” all of which contributed to the album’s successful climb to the top of the charts in numerous countries.

The album’s lyrics explore suffering, struggle, and development, which connected with listeners and helped launch Linkin Park into the spotlight as a formidable rock act in the early 2000s.

Linkin Park will release a 20th anniversary version of “Meteora” on April 7, 2023. Fans of Linkin Park anticipate that the release of “Meteora” to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary will be a defining point in their life and bring in a new wave of admiration for the band’s music. Since Chester Bennington’s unexpected death in 2017, the band has not performed live, but this anniversary version of “Meteora” is a memorial to their enduring impact on the rock music world.

Linkin Park’s “Meteora” is an important piece of work that shaped the development of rock music in the early 2000s. The release of the album’s 20th anniversary edition is a great way to celebrate the band’s success and provide joy to their devoted following. The album’s impact and continuous popularity speak for itself, although I’m unaware of the anniversary reissue.

As of April 28, 2020, bassist Dave Farrell has confirmed the band is writing new material. The band released “She Couldn’t” on August 13; it had been recorded in 1999, and it would appear on the October 9 20th anniversary edition of their first album Hybrid Theory. Linkin Park released a new version of 100 Gecs’ “One Step Closer” (a song originally recorded by the American electronic duo) on January 8, 2021. According to the group, this is only the beginning of a flood of future Reanimation-inspired remixes.
