The Interrupters

Formed in 2011 in Los Angeles, California, by Kevin Bivona (guitar) and his twin brothers Justin (bass) and Jesse (drums). The original 2 Tone ska bands’ rhythm, intensity, and messages, and the 90s punk-rock revival, blew them away. The Bivonas were a staple of Tim Armstrong’s makeshift band Tim Timebomb And Friends, supporting the co-founder of Rancid on tour and working in the recording studio. When the Bivonas first met Aimee in 2009 and began performing together.

With the help of fantastic tunes, Aimee’s charm, and a stage presence best compared to the kinetic energy, their self-titled 2014 debut spread like wildfire over the Pacific Coast. Two more studio albums by The Interrupters 2016’s Say It Out Loud and 2018’s magnum opus Fight The Good Fight were both released under Armstrong’s Hellcat label through Epitaph Records. Not to mention the nonstop travelling, which included a stop on the Vans Warped Tour and several opening gigs for legendary punk rock acts like Rancid, Bad Religion, Green Day, and others.

Making the documentary This Is My Family, which was based on interviews, old video, and stunning images of the band performing at Tokyo’s Summer Sonic Festival, came first.

Following the conclusion of that project, the band renovated their LA house like Fixer Upper, converting the garage into a 10 X 20 home studio.
