Canadian F1 Driver Finally Has Some Good Luck!

Canadian Formula One (F1) driver Lance Stroll has had a rough start to the new season. However, it seems as though Lance Strolls luck has turned around after this weekend!

Lance got injured on his bike, went into surgery, and had metal rods inserted into his wrists just a week before the first F1 race of the season in Bahrain! He then told his Aston Martin team that he couldn’t race his best because he couldn’t turn with the state of his hands during practice. However, after qualifying eighth and finishing the race sixth it seemed as though Lances season was on a upwards trajectory.

Last weekend in Saudi Arabia Lances season once again took a unexpected turn for the worst though. Lance qualified sixth and looked to be on pace for a good result during the race. At the start of the race Lance pulled off a brilliant move on Carlos Sainz to move into fifth place. Lances race success was short lived as his car failed on him causing him to come to a unexpected stop on track. Lance finished the race twentieth due to his early DNF (Did Not Finish) result.

After a crazy race in Australia today though Lance Stroll was finally given a lucky break. When Carlos Sainz crashed into Lances teammate Fernando Alonso and took a five second penalty, as well as caused the two Alpines to DNF, Lance was able to capitalize and moved into forth place!

It’s nice to see the only Canadian driver in F1 at the moment finally catch a break and shake off his bad luck. Let’s hope Lance can keep the momentum rolling and score some more points to keep Aston Martin in title fight contention.
