Being the best in the world at your sport is one thing, but being a superstar is something else completely. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes the two go hand in hand, but theirs something special that makes a superstar stand out from the rest. This is a list of the top 10 biggest sports stars of all time.
This is Part 1 of the list where we will cover numbers 10-6.
This list will be completely based off of popularity in the athletes own sport. Some athletes are more well known because their sport is bigger but that’s not what we are looking at today.
- Serena Williams. Serena is by far the biggest name in tennis history and some would argue she helped put tennis on the map. Her philanthropy work off the court has inspired many and gained her tons of popularity as an athlete.
- Tiger Woods. Tiger is arguably one of the best golfers of all time and when you think of golf, you think of him. Even as he climbs in age he continues to compete and is still the biggest draw in golf to this day.

- Lewis Hamilton. Lewis is a 7 time F1 world champion and has proved throughout the last decade that he is the sports greatest of all time. When he’s not setting the record for most races won of all time hes inspiring millions around the world to join civil rights movements.

- Wayne Gretzky. When I say hockey player, you think Wayne Gretzky. Wayne Gretzky is a Canadian legend and arguably the greatest draw in hockey history. His time in the NHL will forever be remembered and his legacy is cemented in his sport for eternity.
- LeBron James. LeBron has been In the NBA for decades now and continues to dominate the competition even with a failing team. His story of how he came up as a child and eventually became one of the best NBA players of all time is truly inspirational and its what puts him at #6 on this list.
