Raptors captain Fred VanVleet scores 1 point against the 76ers in the Raptors loss.
“We weren’t very good as a team doing anything, and a lot of that is on me.” Said Fred VanVleet after the loss.
While many were quick to judge Fred VanVleet for scoring just 1 point during the Raptors recent loss, hes now listed as questionable for the Raptors next game tonight against the Atlanta Hawks due to lower back pain. Could this have been the cause for his awful performance against the 76ers? Most fans aren’t buying it and some are saying Fred is using this as an excuse for the poor performance.

Its easy to see both sides of this situation, as lower back pain could be a potential cause for a 0-11 night shooting, but as the team captain many are looking for VanVleet to transform into a player who carries the team throughout the whole season. These back issues are the same reason that VanVleet missed the second half of the last season for the Raptors.
Lets hope that whatever is going on with Fred Vanvleet gets solved fast as the Raptors will need him at his best if they hope to make the playoffs this season.
