The Nova Twins plan to take you to another galaxy tonight at The Biltmore Cabaret, performing songs from their new album “Supernova”.

This English rock duo girl band have a unique style blending all things electronic with a side of grungy punk and heavy metal. Although Amy Love and Georgia South aren’t actually twins, these two bomb shell musicians have been close childhood friends who have always wanted to push the barrier in the music industry. As two black female artists, they’ve strived to make a name for themselves in the rock and metal scene.
Amy Love and Georgia South feel that people of colour are unrepresented in a typically white dominated space. In an article written in Nylon, Georgia states “Our music is for the underdogs, we want people to celebrate their uniqueness and come out the other side feeling so powerful they can take on anything”. The Nova Twins style have also turned heads as they love to dress in hyper feminine and colourful aesthetic to change the narrative of what a “heavy – metal band” is supposed to look like.
Their unique edge and growing platform have brought them to an international level of stardom and are grabbing the attention of not just me, but many people across the UK and America. My favourite song from their Supernova album is “Cleopatra”. This song is perfect for when you wake up in the morning and look into the mirror and say, “I’m a boss ass bitch”.
