Vancouver Music Videos

Never have I felt more truly Canadian seeing that Nickelback has filmed their new music video for ‘San Quentin’ at Simon Fraser University’s Convocation Mall.

Nickelback gave out an open invitation to “friends and fans” to come and watch as the band performed for the new video with the possibility of being in the video yourself. The tone of this new video is similar to other “performance” music videos the bandhas done, mainly consisting of the band performing the song as if it were a live performance.

During press for their new song and new album to be release November 18, the band revealed that they also plan on going on tour in the year 2023. Hopefully we can get a full Canadian tour so that all provinces can get a taste of the action rather than just Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal.

Vancouver is currently in a crazy season of fall concerts, and we would gladly accept nickelback onto our 2023 list.

As well as Nickelback, Vancouver has their sights on Arkells who just last week filmed their music video ‘Teenage tears’ at Kingsgate Mall in Mount Pleasant along side indie pop duo, Tegan and Sara.

Its obvious that these Canadian artists are appreciating Vancouver’s vast culture for there music videos, with Max Kerman, Arkells front man, taking to twitter referring to the mall as legendary.

Arkells will also be performing October 25th at roger arena following their recent stunt in which they had hid 5 free tickets around the city of Vancouver. The tickets were hidden, in a book, under a table, in a plant, and behind a couch in well-known Vancouver locales.
