Earlier this week, concerts took over downtown Vancouver. The acts played metal, a genre known for having intense crowds. During these concerts, people can partake in actions such as moshing, windmilling (spinning hair), forming a wall of death, or other physical actions. While those two nights turned out to be safe in the end, people such as Tony Wang have some concerns about going back to these kinds of shows.

“Some of my concerns relating to concert safety is some organizers can be underprepared and/or they don’t care enough about the fans of the artists to keep them safe” – Tony Wang

He also brought up the Astroworld incident that happened last fall. That event saw ten people die due to crowd crushing. Additionally, twenty-five were hospitalized and over three hundred needed to be treated for injuries. Because of events like this, Wang advises people to look over their safety when going to these events.
