How the COVID-19 Pandemic has Affected our Organization
Who knew the morning of March 12, as we waited for members to register for our AGM, what the future had in store ? Never in our wildest dreams could we anticipate what has occurred.
This is a message from your board of directors to give you an update in these challenging times.
Since our AGM was cancelled and the pandemic restrictions have been in place we have not been able to keep in touch with you, our members. With the loss of our webmaster, his platform codes and the lack of physical access to our server, our communication avenues have been blocked. We are working hard with some web experts to rectify this situation as soon as possible. We ask for your patience at this time.
Your organization is still intact and prepared to establish its “new normal” . We would like to encourage everyone to stay the course, hold the line and flatten that curve! Practice social, emotional and physical distancing.
BCIT’s president Kathy Kinloch, has been very supportive and has assured us that BCIT would be happy to host us for a rescheduled AGM and Anniversary celebration as soon as it is safe to do so. At this time it appears this will occur in the fall term at the earliest.
We will communicate by eblasts as soon as we get our logistical problems sorted out. Meanwhile be safe, be calm and be well.
A virtual hug from your president for everyone….
Donna Foster
President
