– To observe the changing spectrum of an incandescent filament with a prism spectroscope as the filament heats up.
Apparatus:
- Spectroscope
- Prism
- Black Cover
- Incandesant Light Bulb (CI-6514)
- S4-C Power Supply
- Jack Stand
- Banana Leads
Method:
– See Lab Manual for setup (OP06/AP02).
-The spectrum starts at roughly 25° on the 360° circular table (telescope is pointing very close to one of the vertical edges).
-Black cover is not required.
