Objective:
– Demonstrate the theory of conservation of momentum.
Apparatus:
- Basketball
- Tennis Ball
Method:
Drop the two balls from the same level and let them free fall to the ground. Observe the height they bounce to.
Now put the tennis ball on top of the basketball ball and keep the centers of these balls in a vertical line, as close as possible.
Release the balls and let them free fall to the ground.
Observe the height they bounce to.
