Objective:
– To show energy transfer or energy exchange from potential to kinetic, repeated every half loop.
Apparatus:
- Metal track with vertical loop
- Steel sphere
- Stand with clamp
Method:
The incline is adjusted until the velocity of the ball rolling down is just sufficient to carry it completely around the vertical loop without falling away from the track as it passes the top position.
