BCIT School of Construction and the Environment was pleased to host our annual BCIT United Way Halloween Pancake Breakfast on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The fundraiser was held at the Carpentry Shop on BCIT Burnaby Campus and became a record-breaking success with a total of $12,470 donations raised from over 2,600 pancakes sold and donations from our generous sponsors!
This year’s theme of “Our Favourite Childhood Toy” was an instant hit with our village of sponsors, volunteers, BCIT leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni, retirees, and industry representatives. Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley, BCIT President Jeff Zabudzky and Dr. Guido Wimmers, Dean, School of Construction and the Environment made great Kens, posing for lots of photos and serving pancakes, syrup, coffee donated by our supportive donor – Chartwells. Another special thank you to BCITSA for donating 650 sausages and juice to the event!
