BCIT School of Energy hosts 2024 Project Expo

The BCIT School of Energy recently hosted the annual Project Expo where students are able to present their capstone projects from various engineering programs, including Mechanical EngineeringElectrical EngineeringMechatronics and Robotics and Chemical and Environmental Technology to the public.

There were a total of 55 student projects on display from the various engineering programs. Many of them were Mechanical Engineering students who eagerly showcased their specialized projects in designmanufacturing, and systems, among others.

Celebrating the work of BCIT students

The Expo draws hundreds of people to the BCIT Burnaby campus in one afternoon to view the variety of student projects and interactive demos. Attendees including staff, faculty, industry partners, and alumni had the opportunity to learn more about the projects and build connections with the students. The School of Energy has received an immense number of positive feedback regarding the innovative projects displayed at the event.

We are proud of our students for using what they learned in their courses at BCIT and applied it through the collaboration of these projects. Their projects showcased the impacts of the hands-on, practical learning approach in combination with small cohorts and close support from their instructors.
