BCIT is pleased to announce Mark Seeley as Director, Respect, Diversity, and Inclusion (RDI).
Mark is a seasoned leader with over 29 years of experience in championing inclusive societies and empowering individuals to resolve conflicts. Mark brings a wealth of expertise to BCIT’s mission of fostering a just and inclusive learning environment.
He joins BCIT most recently from the Fraser Health Authority, where he was the strategic and operational lead for conflict resolution services. There, he championed a respectful workplace for 45,000 employees. Previously, he led the diversity and inclusion strategy for the BC Government, where he championed their Indigenous Youth Internship program and Work-Able Internship program for disabled employees. Mark also worked for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, in Vancouver as the Director of Multiculturalism.
Mark has a Masters in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Applied Social Sciences Community Development from De-Montfort University, and a Graduate Certificate in Procurement and Contract Management (PCMP) from the Government of BC. He also completed his Clear Leadership training at the Fraser Health Authority.
