Engineering panel event to showcase programs

BCIT’s School of Construction and the Environment partnered with School of Transportation to host the annual Engineering Panel Event to showcase the various engineering and technology programs that BCIT has to offer to over 100 potential engineering and engineering technology students, parents, friends and colleagues.

BCIT Engineering Panel Event

We featured an all-female panel which included current BCIT engineering students and graduates from our Civil, Mining, Building, and Geomatics Engineering programs who were able to not only share insight into the programs but also their own personal experience. These experiences highlighted the start of their inspirational engineering journey and valuable knowledge they’ve learned at BCIT to apply to their budding careers.

Special thanks to Alyssa Hermann, P.Eng (Binnie and BCIT Civil Engineering Degree graduate), Kate Viger (Mining Engineer Co-op, New Gold Inc. and BCIT Mining Engineering Degree student), Shahrzad Pedram (Associate, Building Envelope Specialist at Entuitive and BCIT Master of Applied Science in Building Science and Building Engineering Degree graduate), Anna Margarita Golingay (BCIT Geomatics Engineering graduating student), and Maddy Kennedy-Parrott (P.Eng, M.Eng., CPHD Building Science Engineer at RDH Building Science and BCIT Masters of Engineering in Building Science graduate) for sharing your experience with potential engineering students!

After the panel discussion, there was also a team of program advisors and program faculties available to chat with attendees to answer any questions they may have had regarding their program of choice and to support their interest.
