BCIT is proud to celebrate the many contributions that the construction industry makes across the province in every community, and every day. With April as Construction Month in BC, it is an opportunity to recognize workers in the construction industry for their efforts in building our community and maintaining structures that keep us safe in our daily lives, work, and play.

The skilled tradespeople in the construction industry have worked tirelessly on the frontline to support communities in emergency response and recovery efforts, such as fires and floods. From skilled workers and contractors to manufacturers, suppliers, architects, engineers, professional services, training providers, public owners, and more, everyone in the construction industry has played an important role. We thank you for your important contributions in support our community.

These are a few examples of how skilled tradespeople from the BCIT community have contributed to building a safe, dynamic, and innovative community that supports the economic prosperity of BC and beyond.

BCIT is the largest provider of trades training programs in Western Canada, with construction programs including electrical, carpentry, joinery, metal fabrication, piping, sheet metal, ironworking, boilermaker, marine fitting, and welding.
