As exams unfold and some in our BCIT community head off for the holidays, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to stay safe and continue to follow COVID-19 measures as you enjoy time off with friends and family.
BC’s Provincial Health Officer hosted a townhall last week for post-secondary administrators, indicating there will be some upcoming minor changes to campus guidelines. You can watch a recording of that video call here.
We will continue to share information about any changes to COVID-19 measures or related BCIT protocols or guidelines on the BCIT COVID-19 website. And, with the first official day of winter rapidly approaching, we will share updates on impactful weather conditions and any related closures via the Safety Wise app and BCIT Alert.
As the year comes to a close, I also want to extend my own thank you to all the frontline heroes who have helped keep the BCIT community safe throughout the year. Your efforts and resilience do not go unnoticed.
I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
Glen Magel
Director, Safety, Security and Emergency Management
Can you please post your holiday closure dates. It would be helpful to know when we return to school in January 2025.
Hi Hayley, you can find more information in the BCIT Events calendar and the Academic Dates and Deadline page.
