Futurpreneur Canada supporting BCIT student innovators

As Canada’s only national, non-profit organization providing financing, mentorship, and resources to young aspiring entrepreneurs, Futurpreneur Canada is supporting BCIT students by sponsoring the 2022 BCIT Student Innovation Challenge.

Futurpreneur Canada has been fueling the entrepreneurial passions of Canada’s young enterprise for two decades.   An internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,400 volunteer mentors.

“Futurpreneur is proud to support the next generation of young entrepreneurs through BCIT’s Student Innovation Challenge.  We are excited to see BCIT students turn their bright, innovative and sustainable business ideas into reality,” says Mina Haghighi, Senior Business Development Manager, Futurpreneur Canada.

The BCIT Student Innovation Challenge, now in its 13th year provides support to BCIT students from across the institute to launch their entrepreneurial ideas, inventions, sustainability or applied research projects.

“Futurpreneur is helping us reach our goal in providing the assistance our students need to launch their bright ideas,” says Kim Dotto, Dean Applied Research and Centre for Applied Research and Innovation “we are thrilled to have them part of the 2022 Challenge”.

Our sponsors not only help the students financially but are invited to participate in the judging and student mentoring for the challenge.

“It was a real pleasure to be part of the process and looking forward to next year’s one. BCIT is doing an exceptional job in teaching and promoting the young generation – keep up the good work! We need all the talent we can get.” Bogdan Botoi, Manager, Industrial Services Group, E.B. Horsman & Son, BCIT Student Innovation Challenge sponsor.
