President Kathy Kinloch named 2020 Vancouver Magazine Power 50

Congratulations to BCIT President Kathy Kinloch for being named to this year’s Vancouver Magazine Power 50 list. Now in its 20th year, the Power 50 List celebrates leaders who make a great difference in our city and in a wide array of sectors, including healthcare, business, politics, education, tech, the arts, social justice, and beyond.

President Kinloch is recognized for her incredible adaptability and innovation in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. She chaired the Emerging Economy Task Force that release 25 recommendations to help BC navigate global trends and technological advancements over the next 10 to 25 years. Under her leadership, BCIT quickly and successfully launched Focused Education Preparation Advancing Frontline Registered Nurses (FEPA) an online, self-directed fast-track education course to help frontline registered nurses and healthcare providers acquire the focused knowledge needed to provide critically-needed support to patients with COVID-19. Within a month of the course launch, more than 8,500 healthcare workers across Canada and the United States have registered, with 5,000 learners already completing the course.
