Congratulations to the BCIT student award recipients of 2020. On November 4, BCIT launched the online Student Awards Celebration to recognize their achievements and to provide a unique experience that students can share with their family, friends, peers, and mentors.
“On behalf of all our exceptional faculty and staff here at BCIT, I am very proud to congratulate this year’s student award recipients on their outstanding achievements,” says BCIT President Kathy Kinloch. “While we are unable to celebrate with an in-person event as in previous years, we are no less excited to honour our students virtually. You exemplify everything the Institute is known for and are a true testament to BCIT.”
This year, more than 600 students received awards, which include graduating achievement awards, in-term achievement awards, entrance awards, and scholarships, in recognition of their academic achievement, outstanding leadership, and positive contributions to the community.
“This year has brought new challenges and while the world is different, our students have not been deterred from reaching their goals,” says Jackie Jacob, Executive Director, BCIT Foundation. “Congratulations, students—you inspire us with your pursuit of excellence and unwavering perseverance in unprecedented times. To our valued donors whose generosity make many of these awards possible, thank you for supporting our students’ success and for your commitment to BCIT.”
