How polytechnics can help Canada achieve its climate agenda

Polytechnics are natural partners in Canada’s fight against climate change. Positioned at the intersection of innovation and talent development, Canada’s Polytechnics are working with businesses and non-profits to aid in the adoption and commercialization of new technologies that reduce Canada’s carbon footprint. For instance, the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s applied research in micro-grid technology is helping remote Indigenous communities transition off diesel and at the same time, developing technology making it easier to install electric vehicle charging stations in urban areas.
