BCIT is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Kuan Ph.D., P.Eng., FEC to the position of Associate Dean, Natural Resources and Engineering, School of Construction and the Environment.
Steven brings to the position over 25 years of civil engineering experience in academia, government, consulting and research. Specifically, he has led large multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions using collaborative approaches and managed numerous programs that support priorities of federal and provincial governments while meeting the needs of industries.
As a professional structural engineer, Steven has served on many different technical and professional committees, boards of directors and review panels, including volunteer services for Engineers and Geoscientists of BC and for Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council.
Steven is passionate about training and education. This was demonstrated by his dedication in delivering continuing education courses, guiding graduate students, advising young professionals, and coaching youth baseball. Steven’s passion drives him to never stop learning.
