Going to #BCTECH Summit?

If you’re planning on attending this year’s #BCTECH Summit, be sure to stop by the BCIT Tech Showcase booth to check out the latest technology trends in healthcare education (birthing robots!), electric vehicle infrastructure, 3D printed prosthetics, forensics cyber-fraud, and virtual reality learning. Highlights include:

  • Lucy, a human-sized robot, giving birth to a baby robot, used by the Specialty Nursing programs to provide students with real-world training in the classroom
  • A working, child-sized electric car – complete with solar-fueled electric charging station built into a child’s playhouse
  • Augmented reality automotive transmission repair with the Microsoft HoloLens – used by Automotive trades programs

Each interactive exhibit illustrates how BCIT’s unique applied learning model is preparing students to anticipate and embrace the high-tech demands of their future workplaces.
