Is the struggle real?
What is life like for a student?
It all begins when you get that exciting acceptance letter telling you to cough up tuition because you got accepted. You start to drain your savings by making a lump sum payment or for others, take out a student loan and commence the debt life. First day of classes begin and you are overwhelmed because of new faces, new routine, and a new environment. Most of your classes are all about introductions and ice breakers for you to get to know your instructors and classmates which is great.
Your deadlines and quiz dates are out so you assign time for when you will complete your tasks. One weekend comes and you fall behind. All of a sudden you go to class and realize you have no clue as to what the instructor is talking about, yet you nod your head and pretend you understand everything. You decide to get your act together and get back on track, so you go to the library pull out the material and dive right in. Finally, you are back on track but it’s 04:00 am in the morning and you have a class at 8:30 am.
You rush home to try and get some sleep. It’s 7:30 and time to get up but you switch off your alarm and go back to sleep. A few hours later, you get up and regret skipping class ’cause you have got to go through the cycle again. You find out that it’s midterm week and you just want go on vacation ’cause you are done. Doing all you can, you pull through midterm week and tell yourself you will not fall back for finals.
Moral of the story: Stay up to date with all your classes ’cause once you fall back, there is slight chance of getting back on track.
