Getting Ready for Exams

Hello it’s Megan!

It’s that time of the year where winter break is just around the corner. But before we get there we have to wrap up all of the group projects and then have exam week. (DUN DUN DUN)

My group just finished a presentation yesterday and we have 3 big projects left before exams. We are trying to finish them quickly and early so we don’t have to scramble to get them done. Luckily, we all like to tackle our projects head-on as soon as we get them.

I’m currently trying to wrap my head around the fact that we have 8 exams in 1 week. It’s a lot to take in and A LOT of studying that needs to happen in a short period of time.

Last week I started preparing a study guide for some of my courses to get ready for the busy week of December 11-15. I recommend you do so as well so you aren’t staying up late cramming the night before your exams.

I know we are all tired and can’t wait for the winter break but trust me, just push yourself for the next 3 weeks! Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.

Coping under pressure

This is the time of the year where we all feel stressed out and sometimes don’t know how to cope with the pressure. But just remember diamonds are created under pressure. If you do need to talk to someone about anything from personal concerns, like anxiety, depression, relationships, assertiveness, and more, I’d recommend booking an appointment to see the counsellors at BCIT Counselling & Student Services.

I’d highly recommend the Counselling services as they help a lot when you have someone to listen and understand the concerns you have going on during this busy time.

Thanks for the following my journey at my life at BCIT!
