Hosted by Metro Vancouver, BCIT, the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association, and the City of Vancouver, delegates had an opportunity to take a spin in a new electric vehicle and tour the unique-in-North-America BCIT OASIS microgrid electric vehicle charging station.

The charging station currently also doubles as a sophisticated energy-management station with:

  • a 500-kWh Li-ion Battery Energy Storage System
  • a 250-kW solar photovoltaic system
  • two DC Fast Charge and six Level 2 charging stations for electric vehicles
