The coding playground debated on CKNW

Coding-teaching coding-cs-BC Do you know what coding is? In 2015, just 1% of BC students studied computer science in grade 12. There’s a movement afoot to change that and BCIT is helping lead the charge. In August, we opened the doors to our new Tech Hub at the Downtown Campus and invited K-12 teachers to come and learn how to teach coding.

The Associate Dean of Computing, Bethany Edmunds, went on the Steele & Drex show on CKNW to talk about the effort. She was joined by West Vancouver teacher Stephen Price.

You can hear their conversation with CKNW host (and BCIT alumna) Lynda Steele here.
