The BCIT School of Construction and the Environment and Coast Capital Savings are pleased to announce a new entrepreneurship course designed and developed for the trades. The new course, From Apprentice to CEO, has been developed as part of the Coast Capital Savings Entrepreneurship Skills for Trades and Technology Program started in 2015.
If you are a trades person or apprentice looking to the future, a journeyman who is looking to start their own business, or a trades person looking to become more valuable to their employer, the Coast Capital Savings Entrepreneurial Skills for the Trades Program will provide the skills and insights to help build and to maintain a successful trades business.
“What sets this course apart from most ‘start your own business’ courses is the strong emphasis on how to set up an operating system for a trades business and being taught by an industry-experienced instructor,” according to Wayne Hand, Dean, School of Construction and the Environment. “This course will focus on topics such as invoicing, job tracking, estimating, finances
and safety, always keeping the focus on a trades business.”
Coast Capital Savings and BCIT are proud to be providing flexible, part-time education to the next generation of successful, small business owners. Additional courses include, “Personal Financial Fundamentals” and “Growing a Business.” Registration is now open for the Apprentice to CEO – Entrepreneurial Skills for the Trades.
