27 undergrads from California State University combed the BCIT Burnaby Campus last week for any clues into the gruesome discovery of (fake!) skeletal remains near the institute’s famed Guichon Creek.
The faux crime-scene investigation was the beginning of a two-week field school lead by the BCIT Forensic Science and Technology Department — home to the most comprehensive forensic investigative programs in Canada.
The students were kitted-out in full biohazard safety suits as they examined skeletonized remains, analyzed possible murder-weapons, and collected forensic evidence.
Watch the scene unfold on Global TV, or listen to student Alma Lopez and Associate Dean, Dean Hildebrand discuss with Kirk Lapoint on Roundhouse Radio.
