Welcome to the Gait Observation Analysis Laboratory (GOAL)

Overview

A joint project proposed by the Prosthetics and Orthotics Program at BCIT and funded by the Technology Enabled Knowledge initiative (TEK), the lab seeks to inform and educate using a novel split screen video format (in the View GOAL section). You will require a password to view this section. Please contact Jason Goodnough to obtain one.

Designed primarily as an educational tool for our students, the lab also provides an opportunity to health practitioners and other interested parties to learn more about observational gait analysis by viewing the video provided and reviewing subjects with normal, amputee and pathological gait. The lab is set up in a user friendly format but should you require help it is provided in the Contributors Corner section.

Please note you will need a current Flash player to view the videos. Download Flash player here.

Some of the resources on the site are provided in Portable Document Format [PDF], which requires the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe. Download Acrobat Reader here.

Email Jason Goodnough if you have any questions or comments.

This is a clinical site, but should you require some comic relief check out "Silly Walks".
