CASIS Vancouver is hosting a Digital Roundtable on October 21, 2021 at 16:00 PDT, via Zoom. This will be a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about the use of big data in surveillance and its implications regarding privacy and trust, as well as briefly talk about policies and how digital literacy might be the best approach.
CASIS Vancouver Digital Roundtables present an opportunity to discuss emerging security concerns with practitioners and academic researchers involved in policy, tactical and strategic decision making.
Dr. Valerie Steeves, Professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of Ottawa, will be speaking on “Big Data Surveillance: Privacy and Trust Implications.”
