BCIT Computing student wins hackathon with app that can support survivors of domestic abuse

Forensic Health Science instructor Tara Wilkie commended the ingenuity of a BCIT Computing student’s project, which aims to create a non-traditional route to support for survivors of domestic violence, particularly as cases of violence have been increasing during social distancing. The app, created by student Mattias Henders and his team as part of the #TogetherVSVirus hackathon, was awarded an innovation prize. Read more.
