Open Source Analyst (Competition #18-43)
Chas & Associates is a security consulting firm located in downtown Vancouver. We are hiring for an Open Source Analyst to conduct insurance injury related investigations. This position is available immediately and is part-time with potential leading into full-time.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Open Source Analyst role is responsible for the collection and analysis of multiple open source and subscription data points to create intelligence relating to our ongoing investigations. Day to day activities include intelligence gathering and analysis, report creation and briefings to manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct general open source analysis on various investigative assignments in an effort to compile relevant information. Requires various computer skills as related to locating information.
Compile reporting relating to the information that has been acquired through the use of open source data.
Monitor various open source media on an ongoing basis
Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant training pertaining to the collection of open source material
- Above average internet, social media and database search capabilities
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A curious and open minded, question driven disposition
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
WAGE
- $16 – $20/HOUR
