Aimee Falkenberg, Tara Wilkie, and Larena Dodd, instructors with BCIT’s Forensic Health Sciences program, created an unique, online, training module for health professionals and first responders, helping them identify victims of human trafficking. A recent article in the Vancouver Sun discusses Aimee, Tara, and Larena’s work in Surrey and Abbotsford emergency rooms and how they’re using what they’ve learned to identify trafficking victims and ensure they get the support they need.
