Litigation & Investigation Support Analyst
Enforcement Division
British Columbia Securities Commission

The Litigation & Investigation Support Analyst is responsible for e-discovery processing and scanning operations supporting the investigation and litigation of Enforcement matters. The incumbent works with Litigation & Investigations Support colleagues to ensure productive processing of case related materials and with investigators and lawyers to prepare evidence and disclosure for Hearing.

The Litigation & Investigation Support Analyst will also liaise with vendors to present training to Enforcement staff; assist the Information Systems division with the installation and testing of new products and updates; and coordinate project scanning, coding and OCRing of documents with outside vendors.

The successful candidate will have:

  • University Degree or Community College Diploma in Document Management, Computer
  • Science, Litigation Support (Paralegal) or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in litigation support
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using and supporting e-discovery products such as Searchlight, Ringtail, Relativity, Clearwell, Summation, Concordance or similar products
  • Familiarity with Electronic Discovery Reference Model
  • Understanding of e-discovery technical concepts (e.g. load files, metadata etc)
  • Knowledge of scanning and coding products such as LAW or iPro
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours to assist case teams to meet hearing deadlines
  • Canadian Securities Course or knowledge of Securities Industry an asset
  • Previous law enforcement experience is an asset.
