HONORABLE HOWARD A. SCHMIDT, CISSP, CSSLP
• Former Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator
• Responsible for coordinating interagency Cybersecurity policy development and implementation and is responsible coordinating engagement with federal, state, local, international, and private sector Cybersecurity partners
• Howard A. Schmidt has had a long distinguished career in defense, law enforcement, and corporate security spanning more than 40 years
• Previously, Mr. Schmidt was the President and CEO of the Information Security Forum (ISF), Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Security Strategist for eBay Inc. and Vice Chair of the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Board
and as the Special Adviser for Cyberspace Security for the White House

Presentation Topic – Personal Information and Privacy ACT (PIPA)
ELIZABETH DENHAM
• Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, Canada
• Promoting privacy rights is Commissioner Denham’s top priority. Ms. Denham has led investigations into several high-profile privacy breaches and has completed systemic reviews that examine the impact of new and emerging technologies on privacy,
including smart meters, facial recognition technology and an online gaming platform
• Prior to her appointment in British Columbia, Ms. Denham served as Assistant Privacy Commissioner of Canada (2007-2010), where she led a ground-breaking investigation into the privacy practices of Facebook which resulted in changes to the social
networking site. She also led the federal office’s discussions with Google, which prompted improvements to the company’s street- level imaging service in Canada. Prior to her federal appointment, she served as Director, Private Sector, for the Office of
the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta

BILL DANIEL, CPP
• 25 year Security Professional; ASIS International Canadian Pacific Chapter 190 Chair for 2013 and member of the Editorial Advisory Board Member for SP&T Magazine
• Having worked internationally in military, operational, technical, training and sales roles encompassing vastly varied global scenarios and demographics; Bill has taken his experience and passion for education in the security industry and has focused
on his passion for Social Media. Bill has been teaching and speaking on the topic and its relationship in the many spheres of implications within the security industry for several years. Bill speaks internationally on this continually evolving topic
