On December 5, 2012, the Surrey Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (SCADA) is hosting its 3rd annual conference for Surrey-based service providers working in the area of domestic abuse.
This year’s theme, “Looking Through the Lens: Teen Dating Abuse” was developed based on feedback from previous event evaluations as an area of interest and need.
3 workshops will explore the issues surrounding:
- teen violence,
- relationship abuse, and
- the complexities of “teen dating now” (social media, sexuality, relationships, peer pressure, and cultural differences).
Issues will be explored from the perspectives of the teen offender, the teen victim, and through the dissemination of knowledge and resources for service providers.
