Bastille

Today we are going to bring you a rock band founded in London, England. Welcome to the crazy world of Bastille: when people listen to everything, we disrupt.

Bastille (Bastille rock band) is led by lead singer Dan Smith, combining Will Farquarson and Kyle Simmons two versatile, proficient guitar, bass, piano, keyboard members, plus Chris Wood responsible for percussion and electronic synthesizers, diverse styles with ingenious music, he was even selected as the opening guest of the tour by the British rock group MUSE.

After the band released their debut single and EP, they signed with Virgin Records. They released their debut album Bad Embryo in March 2013. The album topped the UK Albums Chart after its release, with its hit single “Pompeii” reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart. The orchestra was nominated for four awards at the 2014 Brit Awards and won the Best Breakthrough Artist award.

To say that Bastille is a walk between indie and pop, perhaps we can see it more clearly: Bastille rose from the indie band to the top of the major charts, then went on to perform in major music festivals, and then went on a world tour, and even reached After passing Taiwan, it is still conducting a new tour in the United States and Canada; stepping on the line with an independent attitude has drowned out the mainstream or non-mainstream positioning.

In the past, Bastille had a sad song “Oblivion”, and it also impressed you with the vast and heroic “Pompeii”. Bastille, who is good at filling the album with various styles of songs, is definitely not suitable for being defined.

Bastille has never been easy to judge the genre, they are a rock band, but they subvert your rock rules.

Jack White

Today we are going to bring you a man who, in less than two weeks, just played, sang, wrote, and recorded in the garage, and produced a piece that was praised by the Los Angeles Times as comparable to Music creator for the new album of Rubber Soul, the Beatles’ classic 1966 recording.

Jack White, whose real name is John Anthony Gillis, is an American musician, record producer, and occasional filmmaker. He was the lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist of The White Stripe until the band disbanded in February 2011. He was ranked 17th in Rolling Stone magazine’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time“.

The mysterious Jack White just turned 40 years old. Looking back on the 40 years, Jack opened a furniture store, formed several bands (including the blockbuster two-person band The White Stripes), made movies, and released several solo albums. Albums, married a supermodel, became a dad, launched a massive restoration project for old records, and all the other projects at hand!

The White Stripes frontman, guitarist and keyboardist Jack White is releasing two new albums in a row in 2022, “Fear of the Dawn” in April, and late last year’s hot rock song “Taking Me Back” For the lead; and July’s “Entering Heaven Alive” album, which released its first single on January 14, “Love Is Selfish” sounds rather simple, acoustic, and reminiscent of a very typical White Stripes sound.

Jack White also directed the music video for “Love Is Selfish,” in which he performs the song on stage in an empty American Legion outpost east of Nashville and wanders around the venue, looking for a way out , but always in vain. It ends with someone reaching out and throwing a dollar into his tip jar. At last he walked to a door that opened suddenly and stared at the harsh white light shining outside.

Foo Fighters

When we talk about rock, it is actually divided into many different types.

Today we are going to bring you one of five different rock styles, grunge, alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock, and pop rock. Orchestra. Foo Fighters are a rock band from Seattle, Washington, USA, founded in 1994 by Dave Grohl, former drummer of the Detachment Band (The Detachment Band). Foo Fighters have seven Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album, including five Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album.

Foo Fighters came out of a tragic situation. Following the band’s subsequent disbandment following the suicide of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in 1994, drummer Dave Grohl decided to focus on recording songs he’d been developing over the years. Grohl, who handles all the vocals and nearly all the instruments himself, calls his 1995 debut Foo Fighters, which is also the name of his new band, a reference to the WWII UFO term.

It may not be news that the American rock group Foo Fighters is very persistent in performing. The lead singer Dave Grohl once broke his leg during a performance, but simply returned to the stage after a cast to complete the concert; then he took the “guitar throne” attitude Appeared in successive tour performances, not afraid of the hurricane, but was forced to terminate the concert after performing four songs on stage in the rain. 2015 is of great significance to the Foo Fighters, because a decision made by Grohl in 1995 deeply affected the development of Western rock music in the next two decades; and now, twenty years later, they have become the influence on the surface. The most powerful rock band. Most importantly, his decision saved himself, who had just turned 27 at the time.

Scotty Hills’ from Saskatoon

Have you ever been drawn to a singer’s vocals and listened to the entire song without necessarily reading the lyrics? When I was looking for singers on Vancouver Island, one singer came up. The gentle voice and soft melody are my first impression of him. When I first came into contact with his songs, I was attracted by his singing and immersed in the beautiful music world he created.

He is the singer who I want to introduce to everyone today, Scotty Hills’ , who was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. He was doing his best to sing like Aretha Franklin or Diana Ross on the radio when he was two years old. By the age of four, Hills was working in the studio with his mother, a live singer who recorded radio commercials. His country blues sound is mixed with mature soul, an accurate reflection of his early days shared between the city and the farm.

Scotty started his career as a drummer, most famously touring with alt-blues band The Perpetrators, co-writing/producing the 2006 Juno Award-nominated album The Gas and the Clutch. After touring Europe in 2008 with his self-produced debut solo album Wonderland Urgency, Scotty moved to Calgary, Alberta, before producing his genre-hopping sophomore album Year of Septembers on the West Coast. This 2013 release caught the attention of Ole Indie Publishing, where Scotty signed a three-year contract to split his time at famed Hollywood studio Westlake touring, recording and writing for R n’B icon Rihanna. This allowed Scotty to explore his long-standing love of R n’B music.

He is about to perform live in Vancouver this May. I am looking forward to seeing his performance. I hope he can continue to release more albums and continue to use simple melodies and infectious rhythms to perform more songs. Let more people hear this wonderful song.

I have heard many special performances, such as bands that use common kitchen pots and pans as objects to strike, bands that use trash cans and different sizes ‘s buckets create a unique and melodious sound, and today I’m going to bring you information about a percussion show in Vancouver that also uses unique objects to create a beautiful and amazing sound.

The performs percussion through handcrafted ceramic instruments. For part of the performance, they will lead the audience into a space shaped by suspended ceramic sculptures. The visual cues of weightlessness and levity merge with the sonic layers of the sculptural instruments, creating a subtly changing sound and the translucency of the material that the viewer feels.

The performance installation features two different new bodies of ceramic instruments created by sound artist Nesbitt. Suspended from rotating translucent resonant panels, the moon bell is designed using proportions from just the tones and bent through a ceramic process in a kiln. Below is an introduction to the three musical artists who performed the show.

The Rifflandia festival on Victoria Island

Victoria Island

The Rifflandia festival on Victoria Island is back this fall after a four-year hiatus, and if you’ve ever missed it, here’s your chance.

The Rifflandia festival first held on August 29, 2008. It is a four-day music festival held on Victoria Island. The festival has no fixed dates and takes place within a month from the last weekend of August to the last weekend of September.

In 2022 it is from September 15th to 18th, festival goers can immerse themselves in the ultimate live music experience with over 75 artists at Rifflandia’s two main venues: The Park and Electric Avenue. Located in Victoria’s Royal Sports Park, the park is a licensed venue for all ages, featuring festive headlines, all-day events and programming.

Electric Avenue is a licensed 19+ venue including Discovery Street, Pembroke Street and Store Street, located at the northern end of the Arts and Innovation District Downtown Core. Electric Avenue is the late-night hub of the festival, featuring six different stages.

The interesting story about the Rifflandia Music Festival is that during this Covid – 19 pandemic, they did not go online to continue the music festival because they wanted to work on promoting better live music that everyone can listen to in person. When performing music, there is a better experience and enjoyment. They do not want the audience to enjoy the music by staring at the screen for a long time. They hope that everyone can share their favorite music face-to-face with friends and family. And this year will be starring two strong women who know how to please a crowd: Lorde and Charli XCX. Artists performing at the event span popular genres such as hip-hop, electronica, bass, pop, modern rock and even folk—everyone has a fun live performance. More than a hundred musical artists are ready to perform.
