The next Halloween themed event I am going to talk about maybe the one you have been waiting for. This Halloween event is held at the Mann Farms. Mann Farms has a long and proud history of providing local produce to the citizens of Abbotsford, the Fraser Valley and Greater BC. The Maan Farms is established in1977 by Jawahar and Gurbachan. Maan Farms has grown into a place with something for everyone like a fresh assortment of berries, fruits and vegetables; you can enjoy the delicious ice cream and homestyle jam, make some new friends in the petting zoo, enjoy the corn maze or simply stop by for lunch, Mann Farms is the place for you.

There have two major events in Mann Farms right now, the first one is called “Fall At The Farm”, which include Pumpkin Patch, Jumping Pillow, Petting Zoo, Frozen Themed Day Time Corn Maze, 3D Tire Crawl, Zipline, Giant Play Fort, Pedal-Kart Track and more. People can also enjoy homemade food like Caramel Apples, Kettle corn and Pumpkin Pie. The second one is a Halloween event called “Haunted Corn Maze”. This event is the Scariest Corn Maze in Canada. This Halloween-themed game will have a very thrilling story background. Your role is the protagonist of the story. Vancouver Fringe Festival 2020

Whether you live in Vancouver or not, you may have heard of Granville Island, because Granville Island is one of Vancouver’s most famous attractions. Every year a large number of locals and tourists go there for fun and entertainment. During the hottest hours, people can not even find a place to park. Granville Island provides amenities such as a large public market, an extensive marina, a hotel, Arts Umbrella, False Creek Community Centre, various performing arts theatres including Vancouver’s only professional arts theatres company Theatre Company and Carousel Theatre, fine arts galleries, and a variety of shopping areas. The Granville Island Public Market features a farmer’s market, day vendors, and artists offering local Vancouver goods. Granville Island is the central location of several annual festivals, including the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, the Vancouver Fringe Festival and the Vancouver Writers Fest. There always have many different kinds of events throughout the whole year on Granville Island. However, because of this special situation this year, all events have been cancelled or postponed. Here is the exciting part, the Vancouver Fringe Festival 2020 is finally back. The Vancouver Finge Festival is an annual alternative theatre festival established in 1985. The Festival will include live performances from local artists and some of the performances will be online only. For the October event, which is October 1 to October 10, it has events like “One Man Pride and Prejudice”, “Rob Teszka: Magic Dropout”, “CounterFactual” and “Study Abroad-the Musical”.

The purpose of the Vancouver Fringe Festival is to create an open and vibrant independent theatre community. The Vancouver Fringe is a celebration of all kinds of theatre. The Fringe revels in its identity as part theatre and part party. The Fringe shows feature some of Vancouver’s best venues. Although this period of the event is almost the end. To Speak With A Golden Voice

Do you know who is Bill Reid? I believe many Canadian know this great person. Bill Reid(January 12[1920]-March 13[1998]) was a Canadian artist whose works include jewelry, sculpture, screen-printing and paintings. He was born in Victoria, BC. He is a sculptor, activist and environmentalist. The most famous work he had done is “The Spirit of Haida Gwaii”. Bill Reid’s most popular works are three large bronze sculptures. Two depict a canoe filled with human and animal figures: one black, which is the famous one “The Spirit of Haida Gwaii”, is at the Canadian Embassy, Washington, DC, in the US; and one green, “The Jade Canoe”, is at Vancouver International Airport, in BC. The third sculpture, “Chief of the Undersea World”, depicts a breaching arca and is installed at the Vancouver Aquarium. Bill Reid received many honours in his legendary life, including honorary degrees from the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto, the University of Victora, the University of Western Ontario, York University and Trent University. He also received the National Aboriginal Achievement Award, the Indspire Awards, for Lifetime Achievement in 1994; and was made a member of the Order of British Columbia and an Officer of France’s Order of Arts and Letters. He was made a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.

Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art celebrates the birthday of Bill Reid with an exhibition about his life and legacy. This exhibition called “To Speak With A Golden Voice”. This exhibition includes rarely seen treasures by Reid and will provide new insights into the creative complexities of Bill Reid’s life and legacy. The Art-Third Realm

Art is a piece of profound knowledge. But at the same time, people have always been fascinated by artworks. The Polygon Gallery is holding an exhibition called “Third Realm” during Fall 2020. The Polygon Gallery is a vibrant art institution that inspires and provokes cultural insight through adventurous programming. It is the lens of inquiry that creatively responds to shifting perceptions of the world, through the histories and evolving technologies of photography and related media. Night of A Thousand Screams

This year’s Halloween is right around the corner. Do you have a plan for this year’s Halloween? Is it to stay at home during Halloween or go outside and spend an unforgettable time with friends? I believe most people want to have an unforgettable time during this year’s Halloween. Every time when I mention Halloween, I have to say PNE which is the Pacific National Exhibition is one of the better choices. The Pacific National Exhibition is established in 1910. Millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and more since then. PNE always have different theme during a different period of time. This year’s Halloween, PNE will also have a large-scale theme event. This event called “Night of a Thousand Screams”. The park will be transformed into slayland- Night of a Thousand Screams. It will be adding a chilling twist on the usual thrills. The park will have a horror-themed outdoor walk-thru experience plus twenty rousing rides, including the most frightening Atmosfear, wooden Roller and the Beast.

Not only that, but it will also have the Scary-Go Round, Murder Hornet Express and the Skeleton Swinger. Every guest will be allowed to wear costumes in the park. The event will hold from October 9th to October 31st. It is throughout the whole month. The park will open from 6 pm to 11 pm. HowlOver Canada

If you live in Vancouver, you definitely know what FlyOver Canada is. Most of the tourists who come to Vancouver, the first stop is usually FlyOver Canada. It is conceivable that FlyOver Canada is a very famous attraction in Vancouver. FlyOver Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. Sujit Vaidya- Popular Dance

Sujit Vaidya, who is an independent Bharatanatyam artist located in Vancouver, BC. He is an interpreter and has performed around the world like the US, India and many European countries. He is not only an interpreter and also an emerging choreographer. The dance works he created do not dance works in the traditional sense, but a kind of higher spiritual level and more ethereal dance. Bharatanatyam also called Sadira Attam and is a major form of Indian classical dance. Bharatanatyam is the oldest classical dance tradition in India. Bharatanatyam content some types of banis. Banior tradition is a term used to describe the dance technique and style. Specific to the guru, and is noted for its fixed upper torso. bent legs and knees flexed combined with spectacular footwork and sophisticated vocabulary of sign language based on gestures of hands, eyes and face muscles. Bharatanatyam remained exclusive to Hindu temples through the 19th century; however, the Indian community against it and expanded it outside the temples in the 20th century. Do you love to watch dance shows? If the answer is yes, this event might suitable for you. The Dance Centre of Vancouver has a dance series called “Shot of Scotch Vancouver”. Normally, this dance series is a live show; however, Fall 2020 Discover Dance performances will be streamed online due to COVID-19. This dance series will include Scottish country dance and the dancers from Shot of Scotch Vancouver will show the athleticism and artistry this form requires, emphasizing precise footwork, timing and technique; also talk about the history, traditions and ongoing evolution of the Scottish dance. Scottish country dance is the distinctively Scottish form of a country dance, itself a form of social dance involving groups of couples of dancers tracing progressive patterns. It is a dance consist of a sequence of figures. These dances are set to musical forms like Jigs and Reels, which come from the Gaelic tradition of Scotland. Scottish dance is becoming popular around the 18th century, and it was a shorter, quicker form of dance at that time. Scottish dance is related to English countries dancing.

The paintings are always loved by most of the people. Every time when we visit a museum and enjoy those beautiful painting collections, we always fall in love with those colours and structures. Especially if the paintings are scenes that we are familiar with, these paintings can inspire our resonance. If you love paintings arts, this event might be suitable for you. This event called “By the Share: Maritime BC”. This is not just a painting collection, these paintings are the process of historical development. It is a tour of maritime scenes and it shows our beautiful province. This painting collection is kind like a wonderful journey. The starting point of this journey is the heart of Vancouver and its part. Then, visitors travel across the Lower Mainland, to Vancouver Island and the end is the Northern Coast of BC. These wonderful artworks all from recent years and also include the early days of ship travel in the province. Celebration 75 Years of Freedom

The Second World War has always been one of the most painful memories of all mankind. But in the dark age of fighting against the Nazi and the imperialism, many people who yearn for freedom have been fighting until the final victory. During World War Two, Canada also played a very important role. Many Canadian soldiers fought bravely against the Nazis in the European battlefield and Netherlands. Now, 75 years have passed, but we will never forget it. We will never forget how hard it is to live a happy and free life today. So, in honour of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands and also the 75 years of freedom, the Dutch Liberation Canadian Society has hosted an exhibition that includes the Dutch experience under Nazi occupation and how the Canadians helped the Dutch; and also how the Canadian Forces liberated the Netherlands from Nazi. Not only that, but the exhibition also includes the immigration of Dutch citizens to Canada and how the Netherlands during World War Two.
