I don’t know about you, but I recently learned about how you can get crazy money in sports cards trading. Like an insane amount of money for a simple piece of card.

Okay, okay, before the traders hate on me—yes, I know it’s not just a simple card.

But like, you know what I mean, right? It’s an actual piece of card.

Trading cards or collectible cards are those small cards that are usually made from paperboard or thick paper. They usually contain an image of a certain person, character, place, or thing that are either fictional or not, and it includes a short description of the image along with other texts i.e., superpowers, stats, trivia, etc. There’s a wide variety of different types of cards.

There are also different card conditions, and I got the impression that most of the card’s value depends on it. I guess unless of course, the card is very rare or one-of-a-kind.

I learned about all this from one of my friends. She and her boyfriend go to trading expos and events, and they just collect and trade sports cards. The price tags on these trading cards are ridiculous. It can amount from $300,000 to $15M, maybe even more. But it’s also like stocks, it appreciates and depreciates so, I’m assuming that you gotta be tactical about it.

Until now, I’m gobsmacked about how these pieces of cards can be $77 when you bought them and be $300,000 in a few years.

“Uh, sorry, what did you just say? I think I hallucinated and thought you said $300,000.”

UH, YEAH, FRIEND. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I SAID.

After watching this video, I’m not gonna lie—I am so tempted in collecting and trading cards.

I’m kinda bummed that I donated other cards that I had because—as what my mom used to tell me– they’re just dust collectors.

We could’ve been $15 M richer now, mom.
