Normally, this dance series is a live show; however, Fall 2020 Discover Dance performances will be streamed online due to COVID-19. This dance series will include Scottish country dance and the dancers from Shot of Scotch Vancouver will show the athleticism and artistry this form requires, emphasizing precise footwork, timing and technique; also talk about the history, traditions and ongoing evolution of the Scottish dance. Scottish country dance is the distinctively Scottish form of a country dance, itself a form of social dance involving groups of couples of dancers tracing progressive patterns. It is a dance consist of a sequence of figures. These dances are set to musical forms like Jigs and Reels, which come from the Gaelic tradition of Scotland. Scottish dance is becoming popular around the 18th century, and it was a shorter, quicker form of dance at that time. Scottish dance is related to English countries dancing.

This dance performance is holding from Thursday, September 24, from 12 pm to Thursday, October 8, at 1 pm. This event is totally free and one performance will take about 35 mins.
