It is a dance consist of a sequence of figures. These dances are set to musical forms like Jigs and Reels, which come from the Gaelic tradition of Scotland. Scottish dance is becoming popular around the 18th century, and it was a shorter, quicker form of dance at that time. Scottish dance is related to English countries dancing.
