Speak Up Together is a project that gives voices to those who have experienced any form of racism, discrimination, or hate crime, through a collection of stories. Noor Fadel, the founder of this project, hopes to shed light on these various issues, and change the perception of racism in Canada.
I want to collect these stories of people, to prove to people that racism in Canada does exist and here they are. You know, it could be your sister, it could be your brother, it could be your neighbor, your best friends, your manager, your co-worker. Encouraging people to share their experiences and, and not allow it to stop them from doing what they do in their daily lives and to be who they are.
With all letters being mailed to parliament, Fadel is welcoming anyone to participate and share their experiences.
For Evolution 1079, I’m Brooke Graham.
